On the Move

Box was waiting for me after work yesterday. Here is a picture of what I took out of the box. I am packing it up to send out to John this afternoon. I will send him a PM with the tracking number after I get it.

According to USPS tracking, it is 'Out for Delivery' and should arrive at my humble abode by 1:30 PM-ish. It will be on its way to Jeff later today or tomorrow at the latest Film at Eleven.

OK, I'm officially getting anxious! It was delivered on Monday, now where is it?

Jeff (Skelton2014) received the box on Monday and said that he would get it out today. Tracking # to Wayne (Stonepecker) is 9405 9036 9930 0213 1145 39.

Wayne will probably get it on Sat or Mon - might be a short delay from Wayne due to the July 4 holiday but he promised to get it moving as quickly as possible.

Pass It Forward Box #2

Box went out Tuesday morning and on its way to Wayne (Stonepecker) in St. Cloud, MN. Checked tracking this morning and it was still at the sort facility in Kent, WA (02:31). Estimated delivery is Saturday the 5th... probably due to the holiday:frown:... it was pretty jammed full when it arrived, especially with some nice blanks. Repacked even fuller and put in a special surprise... let's see who pulls it out to keep. Here's what I selectedt:

WOW you guys have this box moving so fast it is hard to keep up with. Well the box made it to John in Weddington, NC. John got it sent on to Jeff in Lynnwood, WA. And Jeff has it on the way to Wayne in Saint Clould, MN.

Sorry for the short delay.

Good Evening Everyone.

I am finally back from a short trip to No Dakota. This was a family vacation over the Fourth.....I got back tonight at 6 pm local time. I had Box #2 opened and I was drooling at 6:30
One Hour and Twenty minutes later.......I had seen everything......took out what interested me.....and have repacked Box #2........along with my additions.

Now the bad news. The Medium size box was split open when it arrived here. SO..... When packing this tonight, I had to use a Large Size Box for the repacking. This box is still stuffed with things I have no idea how to use. And I added a few more things with my crazy attitude in place. I hope that some things bring a smile to Josh's face.

Pictured below is what I removed for myself. Feeling lucky. I did take out one item I have never made before. Whom ever put the crow call in the box.......I got it.

Thanks everyone.
Wayne

I'm sure this probably a really stupid question for those who are "in the know," but why would anyone want to call a crow? Isn't that what a crow call would be used to do?

So you can shoot it. They can be very destructive to farm crops.

Hmmm ... must be a secret photo, not seeing it on my end.

You have great eyes........no need to go for those glasses.

I have asked for help and have been pointed in the right direction. Since I have never posted any thumbnail yet......I have been sent to a special video that explains the process.
As soon as I understand this...........I will post the picture.

Really nothing secret about this......I just need to learn how. :clown::bananen_smilies035:

Frustrating tracking, probably just the USPS messing up. It probably will be here tomorrow, I have a big box of goodies in the truck so when I check my mail in town, I'll take out some stuff and fill it back up, then remail!

Got the package (it was literally bursting at the seams!), rummaged through it, took what appealed to me, added LOTS of stuff, and sent it on its way. USPS tracking # 91149012308038522267
Its on it's way to San Jose!

Here is a shot of the goodies I snagged.

The tracking number comes up as invalid...it also has fewer digits than prior numbers that have worked so maybe there's just a dropped digit?

More importantly, it didn't arrive yet. I'm guessing it'll be here Monday.

That's a sure sign of getting older - not being able to transcribe number! Try this one: 9114 9012 3080 3852 2267 41

Ah, that tracking number works.

Looks like I should have the package in the morning. I'll be out during the afternoon and evening so it might not go back out until Tuesday.

Looking forward to it!

Looks like I fell behind a little again. The Box got to Josh in Provo, Utah and he sent it to Mark in Sweetwater, Texas. Mark has the box on the way to Tim in San Jose, CA. And it looks like it could get there today.

The box was waiting on my front porch this morning as I headed out. I had a must-finish project that had to be taken care of before I could dive into the box.

It was after dinner by the time I finally got to slice through the tape and start sifting through the contents.

For those of you below me on the list, I suggest making certain you completely unpack the box. There are some small (and/or very thing) things in there that I almost missed.

Oh yeah, good luck getting the leftovers back in plus finding room for the goodies you add....there wasn't much room in there when I finished tucking in my additions.

There were some duplicates in the box which was cool...I could take one and still leave the same thing for others.

I've included a phone photo showing the loot I took. Three pairs of don't-glue-my-fingers-together gloves, some Corian samples, a skinny letter opener kit, a short Madrone piece, a pen blank that is some kind of worm-eaten wood which should be a stablizing/dying experiment soon, a 4-in-1 screwdriver kit, a 2P10 mini kit (good quality CA glue and accelerator in travel-size bottles!), three different brass shells, an odd orange-ish piece of wood that might be just right for a bottle stopper, and a thin, natural edge burl.

The burl will end up in a casting soon...just have to figure out what colors I want to embed it into. Looks like a perfect thickness for knife scales (and I have several knife kits waiting for just the right scales).

I still need to test-fit and (hopefully) glue up that overdue project which caused me to wait all day to dive into the box. Then I can start playing with my new challenges.

A huge, "THANK YOU" to edohmann for setting this up, to everybody that tucked in the goodies I snagged, and to everybody ahead of me on the list that passed over the things I kept.

The box is addressed and resealed...will get it back on its way Tuesday morning!

The box is on the road again! Or, at least it's in the hands of the US Post Office again. I dropped it off mid-afternoon though the tracking number still isn't showing up in their system when I checked just now.

Here's the tracking number: 9114 9011 5981 8403 6594 86

And, in case I mistyped it, I've included a phone photo of the receipt so we can see the Post Office's version of the tracking number.

For anybody that hasn't yet posted a photo of the goodies they extracted from the box, there's still time to post. :)

Everybody that's tucked goodies into the box is curious to see who picked those goodies out...

As somebody who's way down the list, I'm curious what else was there along the way (fodder for future ideas if I get to do one of these again).

Looking back through the entire thread to see all of the images that have been posted...there's been some cool stuff in the box along the way!

I just hope that Edgar took a picture of what the first box when he started this and that he can post a picture of it and when the box get back to him. I know it had grown since it started out but I wonder just how big it will be when it gets back to him.

Thanks again Edgar for starting this and if you do it again.........Let me know.

I did take photos of all the boxes before they started out, so I will be sure to post before & after pictures when the boxes find their way back to me.

It was never my intent or expectation to get back more than I put in so if the boxes are larger when they arrive, I will just keep a comparable amount and use the rest to make up some prizes for next year's BASH.

I have really enjoyed watching the boxes make their way around the world & I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for the games. We'll probably need to do it again next year.
