Rough turned 9 and got #10 well on its way to completion. 8 Ash, 1 Olivewood, and spalted Sycamore.

Greta looking bowls, I can see that the Olive wood is very green, where do you source it from, is it local to you...??? the blanks would weigh a lot to be sent by mail...!

How long before your final turning?

Bagging them, or other drying procedure? Just comparing process.

I have 4 bagged for 9 months (spalted maple). You have excellent style to get the shapes in a nice uniform design - before final turning! NICE!

Actually, I think I got that Olivewood blank from Woodcraft.

Thanks! For drying, I just bag them is shavings. Nothing on the end grain, no anchor seal, no nothing. Haven't had cracking issues at all. We'll see how that works out for the Olivewood. I hear its prone to cracking when drying. If it does, oh well, on to the next one.
