Yet more stoppers

I had the camera out, so I shot some:

Angle-cut zebrawood mushroom.

Katalox top-hat.

A tulipwood tulip.

And, finally, cast money. After all, life is too short to drink cheap wine.

Great job Eric. I especially like the first and last ones.

I am a new penturner (only done about a dozen) and would also like to learn to do stoppers. Can you tell me, is all that is required to add to my Jet mini lathe for stoppers:

* A drill chuck
* A stopper mandrel
* A drill & tap ???

Do you not use the tailstock for stoppers? Or is it more complicated involving more "extra" hardware?

Any tips appreciated.
