1: My replacement pulley for the 46-701 lathe came. Got it installed and it's running smooth. Well, smooth for a Reeves drive. Too bad linkbelts don't work on these... I also got the headstock aligned. Nice.

2: I had listed my Rockwell Homecraft saw on CL. Buyer came and gave me my asking price. Nice.

3: I had listed my Turncrafter Pro lathe on CL. Buyer came and gave me my asking price. Nice.

4: My Craftsman 21833 saw arrived. That is a BIG box! Took about 3 hours to assemble. I still need to dial it in. Blade alignment is off by 1/64th at the back of the blade, fence and miter need aligned as well. I don't like the miter gauge or the saw blade it came with. The blade has friggin burrs around the arbor hole! Dangerous! But it's powerful, smooth, and the mobile base works great!

Whew! What a day!

Finished the dial-in this morning. Photos are with the stock blade because it's the only 10" one I have at the moment. However I won't be using that piece of crap, I'll be using my Delta Industrial 9" blades instead until I can order a new 10".

Here's a closeup of the blade arbor hole. Note the burrs and pits. Ugh.

Someone in here said that sawblades that come with the machines should be
marked "For Display Purposes Only" .. I agree. That thing looks dangerous!
Also agree on the miter gauges .. they're often worthless. You can often find
old miter gauges (Rockwells, old Craftsman etc.) at yard sales or in junk piles.

It might be worth getting some flat stock and having someone mill it to the
specs of your miter slots, mount your newly found miter gauge onto the miter
bars and you're ready to rock and roll!

Either way .. it'll be like working in someone else's shop for a little while

Kinda like whiskey and strange? Power tools and strange?:eek:

I gave my old Incra gauge away. I'll have to get another. I loved that thing.

I squared my miter gauge to 90*. That's good enough to start building some sleds. I just don't like that it doesn't have a machined face, it's friggin enameled! And the adjustable stops are worse than worthless.

It's nice having a fully functional riving knife though.:biggrin::biggrin:
