Yellow Box Burl Pen

Yellow Box timber is tough sometimes ornery grows to a great age, is a beautifull tree.
Highly favoured as a source of fuel because it generates intense heat and lasts a long time burning. Luckily for us every once in a while it throws a burl that also is quite special infused with reds, yellows, browns, birds eye. Lately my transfer method glitches so only one side ie opposite the clip view.

PS happens to be unique to this country I do hope it has been grown by now in yours like so many of our Eucalypts. It can be found occasionaly, worth using in the Burl form.

Great looking pen Pete! dad always burnt a bit of Box with the Red gum, he said burning the two you get more heat and less ash and less soot build up.
