Ok, add me to the list of folks who are ****ed at PSI.

A couple months ago I ordered a slew of their new girly pen kits. Divas, Princesses, etc.

Immediately after receipt I discovered a dead Diva transmission. No biggie, I think. PSI has always replaced bad parts in the past if I submit a customer service report through their website. They don't always reply, but the parts appear in my mailbox. All good...

Not this time. Nothing in the mail, no response, nada.

Now, today, I find a friggin HAIR in the nib plating on a Princess pen kit. What the heck?

I guess I have to burn my cell minutes and call now. Grrr.... I am NOT a happy camper.

Don, sorry to hear man. I learned a few different times this year, using the form, or emailing them, sadly, produces 0 results for me. However if I call them directly they are great in getting me what I need. Hope you don't have anymore issues. I have been there too.

I give thanks to have been so blessed, but in 10 years of dealing with PSI and CSUSA and all the other pen suppliers... I've never had a single problem that I can think of at this moment... having said that, I've probably jinxed myself for all time to come.

I tried, three times, to contact someone in the Penn State Industries. They will not talk to people.

I've had two problems with plating on a couple of their Majestic kits. I CALLED them, didn't send any emails, spoke to two different customer service reps and had my replacement parts sent to me in a week. No hassle, no bother to them and I was taken care of in a timely manner on both occasions.

When I order, I call it it. I ALWAYS get top notch service from their customer service reps. They are friendly, willing to help if you have any questions and have been professional and courteous every time I've ordered from them.

I sent them another email using their form, to give this newfangled intarwebz thing a chance.

Got a response right away, new parts, they're a-comin'!

I have had a lot of problems with the plating on the kits sold at PSI, after 5 orders with problems they lost me as a customer. I'd rather spend my time turning than swearing. :)

I am a picky bastard.

C

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2.

Only complaint I have so far with PSI, I get use to the quick service from other venders, that usually have your order in the mail on the same day you order. PSI takes several days to get it mailed. They do come up with some unique new kits often, some I like some I don't.

penn state

I also had a problem, i called and they jus don't care. I ordered a stars and stripes kitand other kits. I received the kit andthere was no pen parts. The kit was a used kit,the tube was glued into the stars blank. I called them and they told meto call the manufacter they were only a distrubutor. Well i disagree they sold it to me. Still waiting for my credit. The manager would not even talk with me, he wanted an email. Very poor customer service!, boycott penn state industries.
Thanks for letting me vent

That is the kind of answer I woild expect from someone who moved to Louisiana.:biggrin: Contrary to my rant.

John, I just realized you're in Arrowhead. I used to live in Big Bear, Arrowhead's poor cousin. Most beautiful country in Cali! I live in Colorado now, which is as pretty, but I miss the beach nearby...

We are renting a cabin on W. Fairway, right on the airport. The air show, last week, was out of this world. Took pictures of the Osprey. Our cabin is dark, dank, dingy and moldy. We cannot wait 'till the house in Arrowhead closes escrow. The neighbors are an attraction. Never a dull moment. We go back and forth four days a week keeping the escrow and loan process alive. We are now frequent visitors at Arturo's in Blue Jay. They have a noon special of $1.50 for a shrimp taco. Big Bear is alive. Car shows, parades, antigues, air show and the Village area. I have had very good luck selling at the Big Bear Farmers Market but little luck selling at the Lake Arrowhead market which should be the more affluent. I think it is because the booth was located on the upper level of the Village next to the concert stage. As Roy says, if the venue supports music, they aren't going to buy pens.
Let me know what you know about Big Bear. There are some really beautiful homes here. In fact, on our way to Arrowhead today we stopped in Running Springs to view an estate sale. The owner was one of Dean Martin's dancers. It was special to view even though the prices were over our head.

Quite a few celebs live or have cabins in Big Bear, just like Arrowhead.

Let's see, I worked at the Grizzly newspaper selling advertising for a while, a supervisor at the Carl's Jr., and even waited tables at Hansel's (which is something else now). I lived right behind downtown for a while, across the lake in Bear City, then a short time up in Sugarloaf.

It was a good 18 years ago, so I'm sure a lot has changed. My wife was just there a couple weeks ago visiting a friend in Sugarloaf, but she didn't say anything about the place. Back then the big industry (aside from skiing) was meth. Labs all over the valley.

Meth? Oh Oh. Of course the guy across the street is a little off once in a while. The guy on the left of me has rusted iron welded art work. The place on the right is vacant. The next one has a couple that is not ever seen in the day and yet we heard them making love in the hot tub at 3:55 a.m. one morning.

I have never had any problem talking with a rep at PSI. They have always been responsive to my problems and sent replacements parts etc if needed. I did use one supplier (un-named) that was terrible about resolving issues. I just don't use them anymore. With the exception of the one, the 4-5 suppliers I use have always stood behind the products corrected any mistakes or defect parts.

i dont think they check their email so you need to call them. leave a message if they dont answer and they will get back to you.
