your not going to believe what i found near my house.
here come the pics....

so i bought some australian tasmanian myrtle burl..
6 x 6 x 2 3/4

THEN I HAD to get some highly figured mexican cocobolo

4x4 (13/16) thick, 5 3/16 wide, 40 1/2 long

put tung oil on to show grain......outstanding

I almost bought a 60 lb block of Afzilia burl !!!!
Im speachless, and of course i dont need all this stuff.

All the wood i saw looked fantastic.

LOL.....anyone interested in some cocobolo or burl before the wife sees the credit card.....

not sure if this is good or bad price for the cocobolo but
depending on how i cut it 3/4 x 3/4 x 5 3/16 or 3/4 x 3/4 x 5 1/2
looks like i can pass it on for under 2.00 each.

Up there in that first picture, by any chance is that a section of Norfolk Island Pine? Looks like it might have branches coming circling the trunk ... maybe all on the same plane. First thing in the morning, tell Mrs. Pete that you're heading to the corner for a gallon of milk ... then detour 18 miles to go get that NIP!
