It's been said before, but for all those new folks around here, you can find some beautiful wood (aka cutting boards) at Home Goods (and sometimes Trader Joes, closer to the holiday season)
I didn't buy the holey one, but can't help but want to go back for it. I don't cast yet, but do intend to some day, and that would make some niiiice blanks for $20.

Now I'm a little disappointed. Like you said it's been mentioned here several times about people finding such treasures. I have gone to a few stores from time to time looking for some with zero luck. Like the others before you have found some nice pieces. I guess I'll just have to keep looking.

HOme goods is about 30 miles away and not handy for other stores we frequent. However, Habitat Stores can have some good things. A friend's wife found a nice recurve bow for practically nothing.

If this board averages 8" X 12" at 3/4" thick, it works out to $15/BF which is less than half what Olive wood raw lumber is typically selling for.
How thick is the board?

I made several from HG and was very please. However, not all had figuring on the rear. You may be a good idea to turn over the board to see if there is any figuring (if you want that).

Good score. I have scored several nice boards from HG. They had none in stock when I stopped in last week. Bummer.
