Not so long ago I posted some photos showing the "STATE" of my workshop.
I have started to rectify the situation and thought that the most common items on my benches were my chisels. Some of them were kept in the boxes but the most used ones were always laying on the bench, including the boxes.
So now the boxes are gone, the packing sleeves are gone and all the chisels are standing in my new rack.
I guess that I was a bit slack with the construction of the rack, but hey, it only holds the chisels. It doesn't contribute to the beauty of anything, it is purely a space saver and I know where all the chisels are.
There will not be a lot happening in the very near future as I had a hernia repair on 21st so things are rather slow just now.

Cheers,
Bob.

At least when you get back to turning you will be able to find your chisels. My shop isn't exactly clean either. We work and things get messy. Then we realize how out of hand it is and we clean it. At least that is the way I am.

Nice box Bob.

Now, if that was in my house, in a couple months the box would be mostly empty and the chisels would find their normal home back on my workbench.

Hope the hernia didn't come from lugging around that hills weeping fig! Here's to a speedy recovery!

Looks functional to me... in my shop function trumps pretty every time... plus if I admit to the fact, I'm a lousy flat carpenter anyway.... I built a set of drawers in a cabinet under the ways of my lathe... they're not perfectly square, don't always slide in/out smoothly (I use wood slides not regular drawer roller slides), but they are fully functional... and that's the important part.

Take it easy with the Hernia repair... if it's anything like mine (I had an umbilical hernia that became strangulated and wound up in emergency surgery a few years back... came home from the hospital looking like a gutted fish.) you'll be reminded when you get too rambunctious.... the shop will wait for you.
