I did a semester as a shop teacher at a local high school whose program was being transformed. When I left they gave me their WoodWrite 363 lathe. There was only one duplicator template and it was shot along with the duplicator chisel. It had no tool rest and only 1 mandrel which was pretty rusty.:frown: I have tried to contact WoodWrite and it is obvious that he has shut down operations. Is anyone out there in IAP Forumland using this system and, if so, can you help me identify alternatives to his proprietary accessories? Many thanks, I would hate to have a weird looking boat anchor on my hands since I don't even own a boat!:at-wits-end:

Nope, that's them. Have you contacted them? If so, how long ago? I had one contact 12/7/2009 which was an inquiry about belts. He said then that he would e-mail me when he got a new shipment so I could purchase a couple. I have recieved not a word since.

Try calling

I have a buddy who buys one of his products and about a month or so ago I thought he got it ok. Use the phone and try calling rather than email.

Thanks, Smitty

I tried calling in 12/09 and left my return phone number and e-mail address. He e-mailed back and said he did not spend much time in the shop since he'd had to to take an outside job. He told me to use e-mail so that is what I have been doing. My last e-mail (2/4/11) I tagged with a Request delivery reciept and a Request read receipt and neither of those have kicked in. That's why I figured he must be out of business. Thank you for the info and I will try calling again AND resending my last e-mail, also.

Well he had moved from MD to PA and I'm not sure his old emails are still active. The site sure looks like it's being kept up to date. I hope you make out ok....I'm checking with my buddy because I had heard that the owners health was not too good. My buddy had also tried emails but had the wrong address and wasn't getting to them.

Maybe not doing business

My buddy just told me that he wasn't able to reach Woodwrite, ltd. Got no response to either phone or email - so maybe they just aren't doing business anymore.

Looking For Woodwrite Ltd. parts

I am looking for parts for a woodwrite cnc machine. Can anyone advise how to get parts. I believe he may have closed up shop.

Thanks,
Larry:hypnotized:

G'Day...I have had a WoodWrite lathe for ten years and following the change of ownership, their service to Australia was reasonable...however I have been chasing some parts and answers to a query for some time but all there has been are shrieks of silence...if anyone gets hold of them would they keep us posted....regards...George
