I really like working with interesting wood blanks, but I just got back from a couple of days hiking through the woods, and there's no comparison 
Granted, I'd look at a lot of the trees, burls, stumps, etc. and think "what a great pen/bowl/etc. that would make", but mostly I just enjoyed being out among them (Do you suppose there's a relationship?).
