For anyone planning to buy a tool like the Woodcut or McNaughton center savers, I got an e-mail from Woodcut last night and they are planning to release a larger cutting blade up to 500 mm (19 3/4") at the AAW conference in June. He also mentioned it is an add on not a replacement. So if you already have a system you wont have to buy a whole new system.

I asked him to send me the expected price which I will share if he sends it to me.

So if you are like me and almost there deciding to buy a center saver (because it is more stable and easier than the mcnaughton not to mention repeatible results), but you wish this unit went bigger, now it will.

Happy Turning.

So I received another e-mail from woodcut and it turns out the first e-mail was misleading. He informed me the larger blade is going to be a complete stand alone system not an add on to the current system. Still no price though.

I have a Woodcut and have never been happy with it. No matter what I do it always binds when I get to the last two to three inches in the bottom. I have contacted Woodcut with no help. Do you have any suggestions?
