So my wife calls me just as I'm about to leave the office today and tells me that Woodcraft just called & said that I won a cordless drill in their drawing. Well, they are right on my way home, so I stopped in and sure enough, they gave me this neat $130 Rockwell 3RILL combo drill/screwdriver/impact driver with a lifetime replacement battery program - blew me away.
On top of that, there was a "Free Material" tub sitting outside the store - it mostly contained scrap yellow pine & plywood cutoffs, but there was enough really nice pieces of oak in the tub for at least 40-50 pen blanks.
This store is located beside the Sam Houston Beltway feeder road in Houston, TX and is run by a great group of really helpful guys. I try to buy as much of my supplies and materials there as I can - some of their stuff is a bit pricey but most things that I buy are usually only a 10-15% premium which is quite reasonable for being able to shop at a convenient retail store.
