Ok is this Curly Narra or Amboynia Burl ( what it was sold to me as)
I have turned close to 100 Amboynia Burl blanks but none with out some eyes.
Not a vendor from here.

I haven't turned much narra to be that confident but I don't think its amboyna. I find that some woods have their own aroma when being worked. If you have amboyna from another source, sand some and see if it smells the same.

Narra trees are where Amboynia Burls come from. I think.
I just turned a sectipn and its curly narra. Noyt a burl.
And also the vendor that I got it from said he got it wrong. So I am selling it as Curly Narra.
Correct me if I am wrong about Amboynia burls grom Narra trees.

I don't think amboyna burl has to have eyes. I am with you and prefer it with eyes, although I have seen some beautiful amboyna without them.
