Remember when I asked for help on the corks? Well the vineyard sent some cork to play with and here are some samples. I found that putting too many coats of BLO/CA, or CA clouded, perhaps from the moisture content in the cork or in the air (it is humid here, near Houston). The best one was done with only one BLO/CA and three CA follow up coats. The completed pens are on the Show off Your Pens site. Cork 8 Side Drilled.jpg

I don't put CA on until I get almost to the size I want. Prior to that when I CA from the begining and kept adding CA, it would crumble out in bigger chunks. Nice job on yours,
 
Thank you Paul. I found cork to be crumbly. Can't be sanded unless you use a high speed Dremel. These that I showed had too much AC on it. Need to build the cork from the inside out.
