Will this work for pen decals?

you most likely will be putting a hell of a lot CA to get enough layers to get it covered over. Wait till the decals get to ya. you might find a Hobby Lobby around you in their plastic model section they have "Testor's" blank Decal sheets. They are about a quarter the size of a standard sheet but they work. DAMHIK

I've always had good luck with Waterslide Decal Paper. I get it off e-bay because there is none available in my local area. I've tried what our local Office Max had and it didn't work.

The window decal stuff is kinda thick Mike...Ziploc freezer bag thick IIRC. If it is, undercut the blank like crazy and build up CA for a month! I'm also happy to be dead wrong and find something new to mess with!

I use Testor's Decal kit. It comes with three sheets (IIRC) of decal paper and the fixative (hobby stores). Create the decal on your computer, send it to the printer with the decal paper loaded. Spray the decals with the fixative and let them sit for a few hours to overnight.

I turn my pens and then apply a 'standard' CA finish. I then cut the decals, dip them in water and apply to the pen while still on the lathe. Let is sit for several hours to overnight again. I then apply three more (minimum) coats of CA then go through the MM grits and the auto polish routine. Works real well for me.

If you have a hobby shop in your area they probably have decal sheets in their model making section (usually Testors).

Wouldn't hurt to call a few to check before trying that static cling stuff, which may not work and will probably be hard to work with if it does.

I've had bad luck with decals, gave up trying for now, but some here seem to be achieving some remarkable results.
