Tuesday my wife had a Dr.'s appointment because of a pain in her side. Her Dr. sent her for a CT Scan where they found she was having an appendicitis attack. The following morning she was scheduled for surgery, that went well. The problem we had was in recovery. Her chest was paralyzed and she couldn't breath on her own. She had to lay in ICU awake for almost 6 hours on a respirator. She finally came around and had the tube removed and spent the night in ICU. I brought her home this afternoon. She doing well and resting.

You and she are in my prayers. And we both know prayers are as real as you and I.
Thank you for giving us here the oportunity to pray for the two of you.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. Linda is feeling much better but still pretty sore.

I'll have her out shoveling snow in no time.

Merry Christmas

Dave,
Sorry to hear about your wife, glad all worked out well... and wishing her a speedy recovery....

I know about the appendicitis attacks... about 8 or 9 years back I work up with a pain in my side so severe I could hardly get out of bed... the wife took me to ER where they poked and prodded for a couple of hours and finally decided "maybe" I was having an appendix attack... weren't sure and wanted to "check" me in for "more tests"... we arrived at ER at 0700 and about 10:30 PM or later they decided I needed an appendectomy which was scheduled for midnight... they sent my wife to the surgery waiting room, forgot she was there, then lost me in the hospital, somewhere between surgery and my hospital room.... my poor wife who had been at the hospital about 20 hours, with no food, on a bad hip and hobbling on a cane, finally gave up about 2 AM trying to find me and headed home to take care of herself... when she showed up next morning, several doctors and nurses got a tongue lashing they should remember for a few years... I was back in my room, sleeping comfortably and quietly when she stormed in and I think I got part of the tongue lashing too.... and when the surgeon showed up to do his post op, he caught a lashing too.... and even after the surgery, they weren't sure I was having an appendix attack... he did say I had some scarring on the underside of my appendix, but no swelling or anything they could see... funny thing, I had just seen this surgeon the day before all this started because I had an umbilical hernia I needed taken care of and we had scheduled surgery for that... I wound up in the hospital for 4 days with the appendectomy and didn't get my umbilical hernia fixed for another 3 or 4 years after we moved up to Tennessee and it wound up strangulated.... back to ER for emergency surgery on that.

I'm both surprised and glad they were able to get her in and out of the hospital so quickly.... I was in 4 days with my appendectomy and 6 days with the umbilical hernia repair.

Take care of her... and give her our best wishes.
