Tracy hit a moose on her way to work this am. It was a small cow so she got lucky, they normally do a lot of damage and injure the driver badly!

Really screwed up the truck and scared the hell out of her but she is OK. The hospital put her on call today so she is relaxing with Gunther and I at home.

Bob: unfortunately road killed moose are property of the state of Alaska and we could go to jail for taking the meat......cows dont have antlers.

Derek: Tracy got to sit and watch it suffer till the police showed up........it's right leg and hip were smashed. Tracy is great dealing with game in the field but not being able to put the cow down really upset her, as it would me. We are hunters and do everything we can to prevent needless suffering. She tears up every time she thinks about it. We are both more upset about the loss of a breeding age cow in good health than we are the truck.

Rick: Give Bob a break. He probably is not a hunter, and if he is, there just is NOT an over abundance of Moose in Ohio. I live the next state over IN and I haven't seen one here in over 50 years! :) :)

Rick and Tracy, it is obvious that the same driver was driving her truck that was driving my bride's truck when she dodged that darn dog a few years ago. It is always great to have Him for your co-pilot. Tracy will get over this in time, just give thanks she is alright. The truck can be fixed or replaced.

Tracy is still very rattled, driving my truck helps some but it's dark on her way to and from work. She gave herself an extra 15 minutes this am knowing she would be driving slower than normal, not that she is a speed demon. I got up with her she left about 5:15 am, wont be able to sleep till she calls to let me know she is safely at work.
