I believe you are correct Kurt, but, like you, I don't want to have Mark scratching up his beautifully finished pens just based on my limited knowledge (see my signature block).

Not sure how much white diamond is there...but it is pretty cheap here...why even bother with eBay? [;)]

I mean you might end up paying more due to shipping. Just a thought.

I don't know of a definitive source for categorization in the woodworking or pen making world, but in the world of polished aluminum white diamond is considered an intermediate buffing compound and white rouge is considered a polishing compound. White rouge is less abrasive than white diamond.

BTW, this outfit also carries various buffing wheels in case you need them. Not sure about the quality of their products though.
