Which plating do you think?

I just finished turning a black walnut for a gatsby. I have a choice of Satin or Gun Metal. Thoughts on which to go with? I was leaning towards the Satin for better contrast.

Can't go wrong with gun metal.

I'd go gunmetal - but - I do not like the satin finishes. They look 'cheap' to me!

With the Gatsby it's easy to see how each looks. Assemble the lower section and slide the finished blank on. See which looks better to you.

I am betting on the Satin, but I could be wrong.

generically, I much prefer gunmetal. In this case I go with satin, even though I don't like it all that much. The color would work best in this case in my opinion.

Well all - I really appreciate your opinions - and in the end, I messed up anyway I thought I had Satin for the Gatsby kit, instead it was for my magnetic vertex. As a result I only had one choice, Gun Metal - here she is.
