My son lives in Denver so I've looked around a bit for same....Woodcraft (south side) is the only place I've been to. Google woodcraft denver for directions. Looks like there's a Rockler, too, but I've never been there.

Cherry Cricket is a great place to eat IMO if you like burgers!

About the only places to get pen kits in Denver is either Woodcraft or Rockler. I think Woodcraft has a better selection of wood then Rockler does.

Woddcraft is at Arapahoe and Peoria and Rockler is at Colorado and Evans.

Paxton lumber has exotic and domestic hardwood, it is at 4837 Jackson Street, in the neighborhood of 50th and Colorado, but they sell by board foot, not in pen blank form, although the can cut things down for you. Otyherwise, I agree Rockler or Woodcraft it is. One benefit to Rockler is that they sometimes have small cutoffs, perfect for pen blanks, on clearance relatively cheap.

Thank you for the info. Im going up there to convert my dad into turning. We were able to get a few good deals on some equipment. A Jet JDP-12 12-Inch Drill Press with Digital Readout, Jet JWBS-10OS 10-Inch Band Saw with Stand, and a jet 1014 vsi lathe with stand all for only $400 and $50 in gas to pick it up.
