Fun and a nice challenge aren't they? Very nice work, I like the touch with the V at the back of the arrow.

You done a glass bottle yet , that really causes head scratching! Took one along to my model engineering club ( 2 fellow turners sworn to secrecy ) , 15 minutes and a lot of theory whilst I drank my coffee and watched.

Just got some diamond hollow drills to make the bottle cutting easier.

I think the wood is Sycamore. For things other than pens I to use home grown woods and not exotics.
But for Pens I use anything except resin I consider myself a wood Turner not a plastic Turner. But that's my choice and we are all individuals whatever floats your boat as long as you have fun.

great stuff. How did you produce the distressed rim on the last fruit bowl? Sorby spiral tool maybe?

Yes I used the Spiralling tool then wire brush lightly. Then a Pyrography to highlight it.

A few more none pen items. The Pot maker uses up old news papers for making pots to raise seedlings, not my idea but it works and recycles old news print. The Pot on the left I tried to replicate a Japanese Brush Pot for an artist friend of mine he likes it.
