Whats This?

These came in a batch of Duck/Goose call kits and supplies that came with a cheapo HF lathe I bought some years ago from a gent who made game calls.

I re-dicovered them when my interest was aroused after reading a posting here about game calls, a week or so ago. Thanks to that posting I found out what some of the game call stuff I have is used for.

Each piece is 2" long with the "divet" showing. About 1/4" diameter. Any ideas what they may be used for?

IF it's a tube, it's used between the rubber "bushings" to prevent them from going further into the blank.
