Sorry, I just started all over again. Couldn't edit my original posting.

These came in a batch of Duck/Goose call kits and supplies that came with a cheapo HF lathe I bought some years ago from a gent who made game calls.

I re-dicovered them when my interest was aroused after reading a posting here about game calls, a week or so ago. Thanks to that posting I found out what some of the game call stuff I have is used for.

Each piece is 2" long with the "divet" showing. About 1/4" diameter. Any ideas what they may be used for?

I'm guessing the divot is for a set screw, from the part that this goes into.

1/4"?????????

Don't know of anything on a lathe that would be that small.

Not much help!!
 
All the duck calls I have done had a hole about a half inch---quarter inch would give us a high pitched squeal, wouldn't it??
