Whats the difference?

Im doing some larger work now on the lathe and the standard jaws on my G3 chuck just are not cutting it these days. What is the difference between these two sets of jaws?

Did you read the descriptions for each set , it should clear up any confusion you have. Or maybe I'm confused by your question.

It seems like they both have serated insides. Is one just longer than the other?

The PowerGrip jaw set holds larger diameter things than the Long Nose, but the Long Nose holds it farther away from the chuck body.

Contracting Action on Square Stock with a G3 chuck
PowerGrip - 2.165" to 2.992"
Long Nose - 1.142" to 1.969"

Compressing on a round tenon the Longnose jaws will grip from 1.575-2.362". Not much different and actually smaller than the 1.654-2.520" range of the standard 50mm jaws. The Powergrip jaws will grip from 3.031-3.858" on a Supernova2.

I have a set of Powergrip jaws on a Supernova2 and use them all the time. It is worth noting that Teknatool does not recommend using the Powergrip jaws on a G3. They will fit but they don't recommend it.
