What wood?

so if i am looking for something to be a good cantadate for casting worthless wood what spicies might you reccomend looking at? so far i have gotten lucky with a few big leaf maple burl blanks, some claro walnut and some birds eye maple that had big knots in it.

oily woods aren't the best candidates for casting but it's not impossible. Anything else should be fair game. Just make sure whatever you use is dry and doesn't have any type of wax on it.
