I hope they(the government) do better with healthcare, but I have my doubts.
Scary as it is, I agree.I may be in the minority, but IMHO I think the post office does a pretty good job. When you consider the millions and millions of pieces of mail they handle every day, the occassional screwups are minimal.
I actually watched the postmaster general on c-span several months ago. He's in a rotten spot... They are unable to close post offices without congressional approval. 80% of their annual budget goes to salaries and benefits, but they have difficulty negotiating changes in the pay structure due to legal restraints and unions. Certain services offered by the post office lose money, but they are unable to change prices or eliminate services without congressional approval. Even if they eliminate Saturday delivery, they won't be close to being financially sound.
