I need some advice on what kind of glue to use. I received some cedar flooring in great condition that was headed to the burn pile. I have some banding from Mike on the way as well. If I wanted to segment these material what would be the best glue to secure these materials together. If these do not work well together, I might consider using some veneer to segment with the cedar.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

I think CA is the glue of choice for segmenting dissimilar materials, as it sticks to just about everything...

For segmenting woods without plastics, I think plain ol' wood glue would work fine...I'd still use the CA, though, to avoid a glue line...

I use thick CA for nearly all of my segmenting. Another word of warning. I have seen brad point bits and drilling too fast tear up too many segmented pieces. I use a jobber / twist bit and slow feed.
