In 2007 on a trip to Provo Utah to attend the Utah Symposium I packed a case of pens. Prior to the trip I photograph the pens and had the local customs office acknowledge in writing that I was taking the pens across the border and would be returning with them. Going through Customs in Toronto the two customs agents asked me to open my luggage so they could look at the pens. Basically there was no issue with the pens. They just wanted to see some beautiful pens. However, as we get in more exotic materials in our craft be careful what you take...cartridge pens, mammonth ivory, exotic feathers and reptile skins.
