What is the best Quality Sierra style pen?

What would you say the best quality sierra style pen is?


I really like the style, but I have turned some and the black paint came off over time.


Is this a common problem? The pens that I had this happen to were the ones that CSUSA sells, They call them "Classica's" but to me they look to be the same kit as what other people sell as the "sierra".


So I am looking for the best Quality Sierra style pen, so this will not happen to me again.

Mark, I used the sierras from Berea that I buy thru Ernie at Beartooh Woods. I have also bought sierras and diplomats from Exotics. I have not had any problems with either of these. I do a lot of feathers with sierras and have company logos engraved on the black nib section and have not had any returned yet. Been two years on some of them.
 
I would say it would have to be the Majestic Squire or the Elegant Beauty

IMHO, the "best" is the elegent beauty. Next in line is the chrome/black chrome, gold/black chrome. I too have had some of the black paint come off and the latest was in use 45 days.
 
I too like the Berea Elegant Beauty!


The Majestic Squire looks nice too, (if you don't mind the crystal) although I haven't made one yet. It does give you the option to customize it by replacing the crystal, which could be a nice feature.
