What is polymeric acrylic?

As in a pen finish. I googled it, but I got a lot of technical white papers and alibaba links. If I wanted to buy this, what is it?

Where did you come up with that term? Acrylics are in general a polymer, but if I had to make a wild guess - if you're looking for a true "acrylic" wood finish for pens, there is some people who dissolve plexiglass and use it in a finish.

Acrylic paints would qualify, but probably not what you want to use to finish a pen.

I think CA would qualify as an acrylic polymer finish.

That could be what it is. A successful online pen seller claims to use a "polymeric acrylic" finish, and it looks like glass. I'm always looking for something other than CA for wood, so I was curious.

I'm assuming a polymeric acrylic finish would be the acrylic plexiglass/acetone finish - I'm sure its formula is in the library somewhere...

Interesting timing. I ran across a site tonight where the fellow claimed to use "polymeric resin" to finish his pens. I was wondering the same thing as the OP.
