Hey Guys,
I have been a member here for over a year now and I have learned a lot. I lurked on here for a while as a visitor and read several helpful posts. This information helped me to decide just what I needed to get started in the addictive world of woodturning. I started out making pens, and have made several of them. I like simple things, being I am a simple minded person, hahaha,. Then sometime this year I decided I wanted to venture into other turnings such as lided boxes and bowls just to name a couple. I have made friends with a couple of guys on here that have taken me under their wings and allowed me to visit their shops and share their knowledge with me. They have even been brave enough to come to the shop that I enjoy working in, and we have shared tips and techniques and wood with each other. I have made friends with several on here and have personally met some of you. This is a wonderful site and there is a wealth of info here and very nice knowledgeable members here. I want to say THANK YOU for allowing me to be a part of this group. I also want to challenge each of you to try and meet as many members that are within driving distance to you personally and sit down and share your tips and info with each other so that you too can maybe make new friends and enjoy this hobby to the fullest.
