Hey All,
Went to my Tractor Supply store today and found a great buy for people like me who are new to pen turning! They had Hard Wood Plant Stacks that cost 10.00. I don't know what type wood it is (It's was not oak but they did had oak), nice dark wood with a lot of grain to it comes from over sea (Indonesia I think) but anyway its kiln dried, comes in a package of 6 stakes that measure 3/4" x 3/4" x 6' long for $10.00! Makes turning practice blanks pretty in expensive I'd say, and who know may even turn a interesting one also. If you have a Tractor Supply store near you stop by and take a peek!
