Here's a trivia puzzle for the patriotic Americans of the IAP: What exactly happened on July 4, 1776? Anyone know the answer without looking it up?

First, let's dispense with some misconceptions:

Signing the Declaration of Independence - nope, that wasn't until August 2nd.

Deciding to declare independence - nope, that was on July 2.

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence.
