I went to Dallas this weekend to drop off LOML for her 7 week review.
Preparing for this and our impending move got us super busy the past few weeks. Hopefully I can get to the lathe (again) the next few days...especially since I am home alone and feeling super lonely. I am hoping my lathes will keep me busy enough to make the 7 weeks fly. Ofcourse there are lots of things to do for the move too so maybe it is only my wishful thinking that the lathes will keep me company. [B)] Have to pack, fix the house, tend to the lawn, clean and dispose all my accumulated junk
, sell some more wood
, etc. etc. etc.
Anyway...while at Dallas, I met with Lyle and got treated (again) by him and his lovely wife with their generous hospitality. I will probably see them again (and possibly Ron Mc too) when I visit LOML over the memorial day weekend.
Lyle, THANKS!!! Oh I forgot to mention (GLOAT) that Lyle also gave me a lot of very nice blanks...some I haven't even heard of before (that says a lot, I think)
My favorite of the lot...the 2 emperor sized, solid black, check free, stabilized Irish Bog Oak blanks!!! [:0][:0][:0] That alone makes the 270 mile trip worth it!
