The Masters goes into full tilt today. All the hotels, condos and houses available are all rented. The last time there were this many out of towners here, General Sherman was in charge and that didn't turn out too well.

AT LEAST, the classic Georgia Pimento Cheese Sandwichs in the iconic green wrappers are still $1.50, the same price as 1962. Of course, if you can "rent" a Master's Badge for one day, it'll cost $10,000 per day (IF you get on the scalper's waiting list). It'll also cost you $10,000 a week for rent, $5,000 to take a limo over (no parking)......BUT, you can still get a sandwich for $1.50:).... I wish they delivered!

Andy,
You made my day. I thought there were no more people left in the Midwest with the seasonal population boom down here. A few more days left and it will start to return to what "normal" looks like. How are the Georgia Pimento Cheese Sandwichs anyways? Sounds good.

It would be cheaper to rent a 1 bedroom apartment by the course for 6 months just to stay in it for a week and walk to the game.

Yea Cris, I understand:)

Being a little North and cosiderably East of you, our population from last weekend on remains mostly refugees from Cuyahoga County Ohio. They can't take the brutal summers here, so after leaving your Panhandle, they stay on the Lakes here from Masters weekend until after the boat parade on 4th of July.

It IS good for the economy and we appreciate the money spent here. BUT, We are NOT remotely interested in "how they do it in Cleveland". If it was really that damed good there, it wouldn't be so hard to find parking places here:)

The Ga Pimento Cheese sandwich over in "Evans" really is good. Especially with a large glass of "Sweet Tea".

Would be! Those have been rented since 1963 and still are through many more years. That's how the Medical Students make tuition is by renting during Masters weeks.
