I tried one more time to get a blank looking decent on all sides. It looks accurately assembled but mistakes are magnified when turned. I will move on from this. I cut the blank into thirds and reassembled. IMG_2674.JPGIMG_2672.JPGIMG_2676.JPGIMG_2678.JPGIMG_2679.JPGIMG_2681.JPGIMG_2682.JPG

Good try though!
What size are the small through squares?
It looks an Incra miter gage. I would have adjusted the miter fence to be right up to the saw blade. Too much space allows error. I can see the differences in the little pieces at the cut stage.

I really like the pattern Alan. Getting the alignment to match on the 'inside' is very, very difficult. Everything looks close on the outside build-up, then when turned it shifts. However, well worth the learning cure. đź‘Ť đź‘Ť
