I've been slow to turn pens the last couple of months. Between a new job, trying to improve my trap shooting scores/reloading, and life just getting in the way, I haven't had a lot of dedicated shop time.

I had a few on deck I was intending to get to....but as luck would have it, I broke my left fibula on Saturday riding a trials motorcycle event (that'll teach me for riding a lower class since it had been a while since I'd last competed.) I've got surgery scheduled for next Thursday, and then we have some summer plans with our girls. I'm hoping to get back out in the shop once I can put weight on it again - need to find a good way to keep dust out of the boot.

Best wishes for a complete smooth recovery.

Oddly, it wasn't as painful as I thought a break would be (it's my first broken bone.) I walked in it more than I should have afterwards.
Never had a major bone broken, but dropped a downhole gun on my big toe in '86 or '87... didn't hurt all that much until I realized that I was bleeding in my shoe... I took my shoe off and immediately got a little woozy... I had split my toe along the nail .... went home and soaked my foot in epsom salt water to get the blood from under the toe nail... On Monday when I got back to the office, manager insisted I go have the toe x-rayed.... turned out I had crushed the last joint in about 6 places... I wore a house slipper to work for a month. I eventually lost the toe nail, but it has grown back.... Today that toe is stiff and will only slightly bend as compared to the one on the other foot. Never had any real pain, more a tenderness that caused me to walk with a slight limp for a while.
