VS Kit for Rikon Lathe

Was over at the Rikon site and it looks like the VS kit is now available. Has anyone done the upgrade yet?

What's your thoughts on it?

Barney, I have installed one and am about halfway through writing up a review on it. But to keep it short and sweet, If I had the option to buy one I would jump on it, this thing is outstanding and has made a ton of difference in my machine. I like it a lot.

Are the kits specific to Rikon or will they fit other (Jet) lathes as well?

It appears that the motor will fit a JEt lathe as well, but I'm not positive on the switch setup, it can always be altered to work.

According to the company tech guy $139 retail.The bearings went out in my rikon mini a couple wks ago.
