My youngest son Cameron (15) is in Prague ( Czech Rep. ) playing in several concerts. He plays in the senior brass band for our county that won a place to compete in a European contest. He also plays rugby for our town team. He was born in South Africa and loves all things Afrikaans so I made these two pens for him for when he gets back.
We are extremely proud of him, but there was no way his Mom and I could go there ( Prague) to watch him.

The SA Rugby Springbok is one of Constants blanks that I re-drilled to fit on the Imperial kit. The other is segmented PR ( Dawn's) that I tried to make look like the SA flag.

Hope he likes them!!!

Thanks:biggrin:

John, he plays a few different brass instruments, but this time he will be playing two different key tuba's. He's the youngest member of the senior band and although he isn't the smallest now( heightwise), he was when he just started so of course he decided to play the biggest instrument!!!
Of course I'm proud of all my kids, but Cameron is the real grafter. I had already dropped out of school by his age, so he doesn't get it from me:redface:
On the same day that he gets back, he goes for 'Work Experience' for a week. He has decided on Law and will be spending the week with a local legal company and they have promised him at least three days in court.
The lawyer that will be escorting him managed to get permission from the court to take him in, because of his age.

You deserve two pats on your shoulder...first for your son who is accomplished so much..and you as a parent....they are indeed fine things in your life. Congrats to both!

My guess is that he'll not only like them, he will undoubtedly treasure them forever.

No more appropriate gift for a someday-to-be attorney-at-law....or is it "solicitor" over there?

Skip, Congratulations on your sons achievements and on raising a boy with that much talent and such lofty goals, I hope he enjoys his work experience in Law, and that his group does well in Prague you have every right to be a Proud Dad.
