Still unsure what to do about the turning length, so we passed number 5 for tonight and added #6.

HOW TO # 6-Squaring the blank.mp4 - YouTube

(almost forgot the link, that's when you know you are tired)

Now, I know how many we will end up with---tomorrow I should finish #5, turning to near size,
#7 Final turning and sanding on lathe
#8 Polishing on the buffing station

Later will come
#9 Assembling the pen

As always comments are welcome---getting tired of looking at it, for today.

Try to emphasize a little:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Glen,

I am using Rick Herrells tool, it's $25 and I find that there is no need to use the circle cutter , I just rip off a piece of sandcloth and a small drop of CA, ready to go!!

Yes, Roy, the "turning" was done with my skews, from square blank to final pen size. But it is too long, so I am breaking it into segments. Should finish the rest today.

Thanks to all who comment---I expect these will be updated in a few months after there is more feedback.
