Vertex Pen in Gun Metal

My first Vertex Click Pen done in Gun Metal. I gave the CA finish again, used 3 coats of thin. Don't think it came out too bad, but it could be a lot better too I think. Still need to work on my pictures

These kits always seem to be screaming for something with carbon fiber on it...but that's just me. I'm seeing a little 'rippling' on your finish...I think. Did you wet sand with MM pads and then cross-grain sand between colors?

Yes I wet sanded with MM after the second coat of CA. I think I sould have sanded after the first coat too.

Looks good to me too. I can also see the rippling alittle. You might spend a little more time with the first 3 mm pads. It helped my finishes alot. also stop the lathe and check for "shiney spots" in the finish with the first mm pad. once all the shiney spots are gone the ripples will dissapear. Still a good looking and well turned pen. Just trying to help alittle.
