Anyone know if it is possible to disassemble a vertex clic pen without destroying it?

Possible? yes. Unscrew the nib end and use a transfer punch to tap out the cap end. You may want to insert a little piece of folded paper towel to help protect the click mechanism. I've only tried once, but it worked.

Nope! They always break.

I did it once with a hollow pipe just the right size to fit inside the brass tube. Don't know what size it was or where I got it, but it worked.
