I thought this might be a fun topic. My wife was looking into a personalized plate for her tahoe. We are in Texas and she found out that the prices have become outrageous. They are like $150 a year plus registration. I have 2 plates myself. I have "BSSHOG" on one of my harleys. It's a 1994 and have had that plate on it since buying about 30 yrs ago. I know if I ever miss registration on this one, I will lose this plate for sure. I have one on my truck also "SHO-URS". I'm grandfathered in at $40 a year on both plates.
So does anyone here have any and what do they cost you a year?

Have USMC plates on my car, 50 dollars first year and no extra fee after that. Something new that I just found out is that we can no longer transfer old plates to a new car. The state claims there is too much fraud on toll roads so you must get new plates when you purchase a car.

On my wife's Solstice she got one with that says JM BUGGY. Both buggy and my buggy were taken. Part of the fun is that we live in pretty heavy Amish country. $45 a year.

We were going to get a Calvary (3 crosses) plate in Texas but it was $300 a year on top of the regular registration fees. As I recall Texas fees varied.
