What a great Christmas. I surprised my father with a trip to Utah in May for the 2011 Symposium. We've read about Super Wednesday that we won't miss, as well as the Wednesday night Penturners Rendezvous. What is the Thursday night swap meet? Looking forward to it, whatever it is. Any suggestions to make this a fantastic experience are more than welcome.

Hi John!

If you're flying out, which seems likely, bring your camera, some money, and a spare suitcase. You'll want to take lots of pictures and some videos, you'll want to pick up on some of the cool tools, supplies and woods. And of course you'll need the suitcase to bring it all back! If there's one thing you'll really want, but you can't get, it's more time to soak it all in. My suggestion is to meet and talk to as many people as you can. Those memories will last longer than anything you can buy!

Scott.

The Thursday swap meet is held in a parking lot next to the area of the symposium. People brings wood, dvds, and many other woodturning products and sell them to the symposium attendees. I have gotten some really nice deals on wood, burls, glue, etc.
Bring an extra duffel bag to bring home all of the goodies you might purchase at CSUSA, Treeline or at the symposium. Super Wednesday and the Pen turning Rendevous is really educational and fun.
