This may be out there already, but I just discovered it. The tenon for a cheap seam ripper cap fits real nice in a PSI mandrel saver. I can apply a little more pressure and not worry about a crack forming from the 60deg center.

Michael,

Well seen, also simply acheived using a removeable centred live centre. Substitute a Brass Sleeve with a snug fit to the Mandrel end to about 3/8 of an inch. I have been using these for a long time now. Also works for me in the Pen Whiz and my own design Pen Mill. I felt from day one in the 80,s the 60 degree connection was the least engineered fit I have seen using the soft metal Mandrel especially. I have pics on a pm. with your E Mail cant send a pic on a PM alone.

Regards Peter.
