Hi all,

Almost done, a new pen.
A prototype with Ishime and Tamenuri finish.
The Ishi means stone in Japanese, the pen finish is like a stone surface.
I have a little more work to do, it will get a little more dark but, in a couple of weeks will get brighter.
Nice day,
Teo

Hi Teodor, beautiful pen. Is the ishime finish a particular type of urushi lacquer that produces the stone-like appearance or do you apply texturing to the lacquer surface to achieve that effect? (or both?)
Cheers!

It is done using dry lacquer, sprinkled.
