Hey IAP,
First I want to thank everyone for all of the prayers and kind words for my friend Paul who had to have multiple brain surgery's. It is appreciated and I had Paul look on here and he said thank you very much it really touched him..
Now for the update..
As you know the one surgery didnt take so he went back for another which didnt work. Then he had MRSA so they had to leave his head open with a temporary external shunt until the infection went away. He was taken back to the OR when the infection let up and they installed a permanent shunt followed by a few days in ICU.
Paul is now home with some scars and short term memory difficulties
but he is alive and expected to be able to live a very normal life....
I brought my nephew home to Jersey the other day and stopped by to see paul and he insisted on buying me a cup of coffee :coffee: so we spent about 3 hours just catching up at dunkin donuts.
Thanks again for everything and I believe this is one of those times where we get to sit back and think hmmmmmm, maybe prayer does work!
