They extubated her early Saturday morning but she was still somewhat sedated. Took most of the weekend for the sedation to wear off. Today she is more cognizant of here surroundings, but a little fuzzy on other things. She is putting sentences together. She is now taking liquids and broth.
Our main worry right now is she has a very bad hip from arthritis (very little movement before the surgery) and we are concerned it will be a hinderance when they want her to get up and start moving about.
