Well, I ended up finding a good price on a factory refurb Brother HL 3070-CW on fleabay so I bought it. I now have my new shop office all set up and everything is working great! I LOVE the laser! I can now print out product labels and they do not smear no matter what I do to them! The print out is nice and crisp and the printer is very fast. I wish I would have done it sooner! Up until now, I have only had an ipad in the shop. The ipad is great but nothing like having a real computer. Used to, I would have to go inside every afternoon to print out shipping labels. Now I can do it all in the shop.
The computer is a new HP Omni 120-1026 all in one computer I just bought refurb on e-bay as well. Love having an all in one and my next computer for in the house will be one of this type. No computer box to get in the way. This one is not the latest technology but the price was right and it was flawless when I got it. Besides, I have the computer in the house for when I need serious horsepower!
So, now I have the new computer, the new laser, and my thermal label printer all out in the shop for maximum productivity! I can print orders out, ship orders with UPS Worldship, print product labels, and create cut lists with my cut list software, all without having to leave the comfort of the shop! One one big problem...my wife is complaining that she sees me even less now!
